The long-awaited Sephora sale for VIB and VIB Rouge members is finally here! This is one of the most anticipated times of the year for beauty-lovers, as it offers a discounted price for VIB and VIB Rouge members! From August 24th until September 3rd 2018, VIB members can receive 15% off with the code “YESVIB” and VIB Rouge members can receive 20% off with the code “YESROUGE” (once online, and unlimited use in store!)

For beauty lovers or anyone on a budget, the Sephora sale is the perfect time to stock up on necessities, or products you’ve been eyeing – especially since Sephora carries a plethora of luxury items with a hefty price tag!

I’ve had my eye on a couple of products, and have been waiting for the sale for months! I always like to read other people’s shopping guides to see what products they recommend and what’s trending now. For this year’s sale, I thought I’d put together a list of some of the newest and hottest products at Sephora – and all from cruelty-free brands!

What’s On My List

There are so many exciting new launches at Sephora, from new concealers and foundations like the Becca Longwear concealer and the Too Faced Born This Way concealer. There are also brand new lines finally available, like Jouer! I’ve been wanting to try Jouer for so long now, and am so excited that it’s available online from Sephora! I definitely have my eye on the powder highlighter, the foundation, and the Long Wear Lip Toppers! I also think sales are the perfect time to get value sets, as you’re getting even more bang for your buck! I’ve been so curious about this set from Milk makeup, and Nudestix!

Last but definitely not least – eyeshadow palettes. I am a sucker for eyeshadow palettes, and there is no shortage of  palette launches this year. The stand out ones to me are definitely the Norvina palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, The Violet Voss Flamingo Pro palette, the Fenty Beauty Moroccan Spice Palette, and the Urban Decay Born To Run palette. The Sephora Sale is the perfect time to save a few dollars on that palette you’ve been wanting!

If you’re addicted to makeup like I am, you know how easily it can be to get lost in makeup clutter. Even if you have a small makeup collection, having an organizer or makeup storage system that works for you can make storing your products so much easier (and let’s face it: it looks way nicer!)

As the beauty industry has grown into the giant it is today, there are so many more options available for makeup storage. Unfortunately, most of the stores I’ve been to charge ridiculous amounts of money for the same products you can find on Amazon –  for a fraction of the price.

I’ve scoured the depths of Amazon to find you the best affordable makeup storage organizers and makeup holders!

So how do you know what type of makeup organizer to get? There’s an organizer for seemingly every type of makeup. Lipsticks, palettes, eyeshadows, powders, and more! The kind you’re looking for really depends on how much makeup you have and how you’re looking to store it.

Click on the photos to see where you can buy them!

Drawers:

These are one of the most common types because you can put nearly anything in them! Lipsticks, eye products, whatever you desire. I have the one on the left that I use to store the products I reach for daily, or products I want to use more!

Have a small makeup collection? That’s completely okay! You can neatly store all your makeup goodies in units like these.

Palette organizers:

This is an organizer I’m missing in my collection and will be ordering immediately! I love the idea of storing your favourite, or special palettes on top of a shelf. Whether it’s eyeshadow palettes, face palettes, etc. it’s a great way to have your palettes easily accessible!

Lipstick Organizers

These are one of the most common types of makeup organizers, but they come in an array of shapes and sizes. I love the left and middle, as they look so much nicer and take up less space. It’s great to store your lip products in holders like these, as it allows you to easily see what colours you’ve got!

Drawer Organizers

If you’re makeup collector or store your makeup in drawers, you will definitely want to invest in drawer organizers. These are the best way to keep your products organized and your drawers tidy! I like to separate my products by type – for example, I’ll have all my cream eyeshadows in one drawer organizer unit, powder eyeshadow’s in another, etc.

For this reason, these are seriously one of the best ways to keep your collection tidy and easily accessible!

Makeup organizing is one of my favourite things – so I often struggle with always putting things away. I’ve recently been trying to declutter my makeup collection and get rid of the products I no longer like or use.

You can take a look inside my makeup collection and see what products I’m getting rid of here!

What are your favourite ways to store your makeup products?

It may still be Summer, but in the beauty industry, it’s officially Fall. Fall makeup collections have started launching, and I could not be happier about it! Fall and winter collections have always been my favourite, as I have an affinity for warm tones, bronzes, and all things Fall.

For Fall 2018, Lise Watier launched the Haute Nature collection – a collection of new, limited edition and permanent launches with a chic safari/nature-inspired vibe.

The new products launched in the collection are:

I was so excited for the lip balms to launch, as shiny, hydrating lip products are always my go-to. On a daily basis, I usually always opt for a natural looking lip product that is moisturizing and comfortable, with some shine. I rarely wear bold or matte lipsticks on a casual basis – I live in Alberta. We are too dehydrated of a climate for matte lips every day!

The Rundown:

What they are: a hydrating lip balm with sheer colour and a high-shine finish

The price: $23 CAD

The shade range: 6 permanent shades, one limited edition (Haute Nature)

These were definitely a “love at first swatch” scenario. They had the exact amount of colour and shine that I was looking for – not a super intense pigment, but a natural, glossy wash of colour.

These are very similar to the new Marc Jacobs Enamored Gloss Sticks that just launched! I love the Marc Jacobs ones, but I prefer the Lise Watier the colour selection from Lise Watier (not to mention the price difference!)

These feel like butter on the lips. They glide on so smoothly and give your lips amazing moisture and shine. You get the hydration and sheerness of a balm, with the gorgeous shine of a gloss. These are the perfect product to keep in your purse and throw on when needed. You can wear them on their own, or layer it over lip liner or lipstick. Wearing this on its own or over lip liner can give you a really gorgeous natural look. Applying it over a lipstick (like a matte lipstick for example) is a great way to add a touch of moisture and shine!

The packaging is really cool – it’s a click to open applicator! The nature-inspired pattern is limited edition, and then they will come in the standard silver Lise Watier packaging.

I’m pretty obsessed with these. “Ice Cream” is definitely my favourite shade, but “Parfait Glace” and “Pink Lemoncello” are close contenders!

Have you tried these? What are your thoughts on them?

This is a super easy, quick summer makeup look using cruelty free brands. It’s great for days when you wake up feeling (and in my case, looking) like you walked off the set of The Walking Dead. It’s my go to look for the summer, using a simple trick to make the eyes look bigger and brighter!
