Lise Watier Variations De Nudes – Spring 2016 Collection

CAN_SECTIONBANNER_VariationsNude-EN_1.jpgLise Watier recently launched their Spring 2016 collection, which also included a collaboration with Canadian Blogger Alexandra Larouche! I was so excited and inspired to see this collection, not only because I love Lise Watier, but also to support Alex!

She and I have followed each other for nearly a year now (which is so flattering to me, since she has so many followers!) It is so incredibly inspiring to see a fellow Canadian blogger accomplishing so much, and teaming up with such an amaing brand. Congratulations, Alex! Screen Shot 2016-02-03 at 8.41.05 PM

The collection is inspired by gorgeous spring tones, paired with everyday neutrals to achieve a perfect spring look. There’s a big focus on more natural yet sculpted makeup – shimmery neutral eyes, sculpted brows, colored lip balms, a soft contour, and a glowy flush to the cheeks.  Lise Watier definitely did not disappoint with this Spring collection – it brightened up my gloomy winter day!

Here are the new products featured in the collection:

  • The Simply Nudes 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette (new, permanent launch, $65) Although highlighted in this line as the Alex collaboration, it will be a permanent addition!
  • Variations De Nude Multicolor Blush (Limited edition, $35)
  • Face Contour Pro Stick (Limited edition, $28 – they are likely testing this to see how it does. If it does well, it might be a permanent launch!)
  • The Gourmand Lip Balms (3 shades, limited edition, $20)
  • Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo (new permanent launch, 2 shades, $33)
  • Féline Eyeliner HD in Brun Noir (new permanent launch, $22)

I had to fight my inner shopaholic with a fiery vengeance not to buy the entire collection (Darn you, bank account! Why must you thwart my plans of being a professional makeup hoarder?!)

The palette is stunning, and will definitely appeal to any shimmer or neutral palette lovers. The textures are smooth and pigmented, and glide on the skin so well. I’m so excited that they’re going to have a great palette in their line!

The Variations de Nude Multicolor Blush is a definite must-have. Really, every limited edition blush/highlight that they launch is must-have. Not only is it one of the most gorgeous looking products I’ve ever seen, but the colors included are so versatile. The texture is smooth and not too intense, giving a lovely natural flush to the skin.

The Face Contour Pro Stick is a very creamy contour stick with a great cool-tone to it. It blends out exceptionally well, and is ideal for achieving a natural looking contour!

The Gourmand Lip Balms are an ultra-moisturizing lip balm with a sheer pop of colour and a more glossy finish. The packaging is so cute with it’s matte red finish (even though my bank account tells me I don’t need a lip balm, my inner makeup addict wants it for that gorgeous packaging!) My only complaint with these is that I wish there were more colours – perhaps a nude. The colours are very pretty, but a little too bright for my taste. The “Alex” shade, which was her collaboration, was definitely my favourite.

The Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo are a great concept and addition, especially since brows are so on trend. They are a brow duo that has a fibre-like gel colour on one end, and a creamy highlight on the other end.

As for the Féline eyeliner, this a great liquid liner for adding a more “natural” pop to the eyes. Black-brown is a much more natural looking shade, and would be great for defining the lash line! I also really love how thin and pointed the applicator is – it makes for a much more precise application.

This collection is seriously phenomenal – I highly recommend checking it out!
