Becca Cosmetics Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette – Review & Swatches

If you’re a fan of Jaclyn Hill (and really, who isn’t?) then you’ve likely heard of Champagne Pop – the incredible highlighter she created with Becca Cosmetics that took the cosmetic industry by storm.

The gorgeous and coveted highlighter makes a reappearance in this stunning holiday palette featuring 3 shades: Pearl, Champagne Pop, and Blushed Copper. Champagne Pop and Blushed Copper are (technically) repromoted since they have launched before individually, but Pearl is a brand new shade exclusive to the palette. All shades are limited edition!

Price: It retails for about $34 US, and $44 Canadian.

Launch date: It launches online on Tuesday, October 27th, and in stores Thursday, October 29th! Some sephora stores are willing to sell it early, so if you missed it online, call your local sephora!

The Packaging: It comes in a sleek, rectangular package that would be great to travel with (although I don’t know about you, but I would be too paranoid to travel with this limited edition beauty!) It has hard casing that seems a bit more sturdy and protective than the usual packaging the Shimmering Skin Perfectors come in.

The shades:

Pearl: a pale, pearlescent white. It’s a brand new shade, exclusive to this palette. This is such a stunning highlight for fair skins, and is also perfect for the strobing trend (remember, strobing is basically glorified highlighting!) – limited edition

Champagne Pop: a beige-gold with peachy undertones. This is a beautiful mid-toned highlight. I do find it a little dark for extremely pale skin since it is more of a gold, but for fair to deep skin tones, it’s very versatile. It originally sold individually, and first launched in July – limited edition.

Blushed copper: this is a deeper, warm rose gold/copper. This particular shade seems to have slightly larger sparkle particles than the others. This is works really well as a blush/bronze booster. It also makes a perfect highlight for deeper skin tones!  – repromoted, was limited edition when it first launched individually – limited edition

The textures:

The textures are the same as the regular Becca Shimmering Skin Pefectors – smooth, silky, ultra soft-pressed, richly pigmented, and beautifully shimmery without being too sparkly. They really are unlike anything else, and it’s no wonder Becca has revolutionized the highlight game.

My thoughts:

This is a somewhat pricey palette, but is perfect if you love the Shimmering Skin Perfectors, want to try new shades, or if you missed out on Champagne Pop the first time. I am in love with this palette. “Pearl” is such a gorgeous addition, and makes this palette useable for all skin tones, but also very customizable.

tip: for an extra-intense highlight, dampen your brush with some Mac Fix+ or setting spray before applying!

The textures blend beautifully together, meaning you can mix shades for your perfect highlight! Here are some examples of shades you can create by mixing! (The shade you get is completely dependent on the ratio you use of each shade! You can add more Pearl to create a paler highlight, more Champagne Pop to create a more golden highlight, or more Blushed Copper to create a darker, more red-toned highlight!)

I am obsessed with Jaclyn Hill, I need to pick up Champagne Pop. I like that you included swatches of different mixes of the three!
