Summer Beauty Wishlist

product wishlist june 2015

One of the (many) symptoms of being a beauty blogger and a shopaholic is having a constant, ever-growing wish list.

With so many products constantly being released in the beauty industry, it can be really hard to keep up. One thing I like to do is make a list of new products, or products that interest me. Then I do some research online and read some reviews before ultimately deciding whether or not to buy it!

Now, I’ll be honest. Most of the items on wish lists don’t stay on my wish list for very long (that’s where the shopaholic part comes in. Yeah, my bank account is never too pleased with me.)

Cover FX Custom Color Drops: I’ve been fascinated by these since I heard of their release. Sadly they won’t be coming to Canada (in fact, there are rumours of Cover FX being pulled from some Canadian locations all together.) But seeing Nikki Tutorials talk about these has further convinced me that I may need to order these bad boys. I love the idea of being able to add extra colour or coverage to a moisturizer or foundation.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Longwear Lipstick: The first shade I got was Melted Peony, and I fell in love with the formula. I thought the formula would be dry, but they are super comfortable to wear and last all day. The next colour I really want is Melted Jelly Donut.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer:  These are one of the most recent Clinique launches, and they have been all over social media. They are pigmented yet hydrating, and I am in love with them. I have 2 colours so far, but the next shades I plan on getting are Sweet Pop, and Beige Pop.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: this brand new foundation looks very promising. I’m all about medium buildable coverage with a weightless, “no foundation” feel – and that’s exactly what this Too Faced boasts to provide with this one. It launches in July, and I will definitely be heading to Sephora to check it out!

Too Faced Love Flush: Too faced is also launching these new and adorable blushes. They’re supposed to be a high-pigment, long wearing blush, and are available in 6 shades. I anticipate that I’ll be picking up more than one of these bad boys.

Stay All Day Bronzer for Face and Body: this gorgeous bronzer launched as part of the Sun, Sea, Splash summer collection. It’s a large bronzer with a matte-satin finish. I love everything that launched in the Summer Collection, and really want to get my hands on this.

Dior Glow Maximizer: this is described as a light-boosting primer. After swatching it, I definitely think I prefer it as a spot highlight, or mixing it with a foundation. But it looks like such a stunning glow, I definitely want to add this to my collection!

Sephora Collection Perfection Mist Airbrush Bronzer:  a lot of people have been talking about this recently as a great dupe for the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing spray. It’s supposed to give a gorgeous, natural bronze glow for the face or body.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation: this is definitely not a new product. If you’ve spent any amount of time watching youtube videos, or reading blogs, you’ve probably heard of this foundation before. This foundation is supposed to be great for dry-normal skin types, with a glowy, luminous finish. I tried a sample from Holt Renfrew a couple of years ago, but the formula felt really thick and dry, so I think the tester might have been off. I definitely want to see if this product is worth the hype.

Clinique Turnaround Revitalizing Oil: Clinique recently added a ton of new additions to their Turnaround line. This Revitalizing Oil is so incredible. I’ve used it on clients quite a lot at work, and got a sample of it. It is a hydrating, nourishing oil that helps promote cell renewal and radiance. And best of all, it doesn’t feel like an oil. I definitely need to add this to my skin care collection.

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush: I look at this every time I see a Benefit counter or display. It’s a gorgeous, peachy/coral cream to powder blush booster, that can be worn alone for a natural flush, or underneath your favourite blush. It’s such a smooth, creamy formula!

You can purchase CoverFx in Canada online through Sephora’s Website. I am going to be reviewing them very shortly!
