La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water: I’ve had this product for months, but never really used it regularly – except on hot summer days. After learning about it at training, I decided to give it a proper try and completely fell in love. It’s now become a regular part of my skincare routine, and has really helped hydrate and soothe my sensitive and irritated skin.

What it is: It’s a therapeutic, soothing, healing, anti-oxidant rich spring water, packed with loads of incredible minerals. It can be used to help with itching/irritations, burns, soothe redness, after cosmetic procedures, helps protect the skin from free-radicals, external aggressors, and even helps fight the signs of aging! I genuinely look forward to using this every day – it feels like a spa experience. La Roche Posay infuses their spring water into all of their products!

Who it’s for:  It’s  ideal for sensitive and dry skins, but is suitable for all skin types, all conditions, and all ages. It’s even safe for babies, and is commonly used to help soothe diaper rash.

When to use: I use it after toning (but for sensitive skins, La Roche Posay recommends it in place of a toner if you prefer!) and before any treatment products (serums, creams, etc.) it’s the last step in cleansing, and the first step in treating skin!

You can give your face a light spray, or you can even use it as a light spring water mask! After cleansing,  give your face a few generous sprays. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, and then gently tissue off any excess water that hasn’t been absorbed.

Tip: put your spring water in the fridge for an amazing pick-me-up on a hot summer day!

When I first started working in cosmetics, I was a bit skeptical towards thermal sprays. I mean, it’s basically glorified water, right?

The La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water has a unique combination of minerals, vitamins, and elements such as Selenium, which is a powerful antioxidant. The ingredients and minerals in this spray have been used throughout Europe for centuries! The “micro-droplets” are so small – you’ll notice when you spray it how fine the mist truly is. This allows it  to absorb quickly into the skin for instant hydration, soothing, and softening.

As with all La Roche Posay products, they are ultra selective with their ingredients – they do their best to get rid of all the unnecessary ingredients to help limit the chance of a reaction or irritation. That’s why the line is so incredible for sensitive skin!

This product really works. I was amazed to see how much softer, calmer, and hydrated my skin has been since using it. I haven’t had a dry, flaky patch since using this with my La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra! (review coming soon!)

If you have dry, sensitive, or irritated skin, this is basically a gift from the skincare gods.

Have you tried this spring water? What are your thoughts on it?
