I recently travelled to Iceland for a week. We stayed in the city of Reykjavik, but travelled throughout Iceland to sights like the Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss Waterfalls, and the Geysir.
Iceland is breathtaking. The scenery is unbelievable, despite the cold and very bipolar weather.
I highly recommend visiting Iceland. If you visit during the winter (up until march, really) definitely bring a warm jacket, a hat, and gloves. I thought a lightweight jacket would be sufficient, and boy was I wrong.
If you go to Iceland, make sure to get some local fish and chips (one of Iceland’s main export is fish – they have some of the best fish and chips!)
There are so many amazing sights to see – I suggest going for more than a week! I definitely want to return, and hope to visit again during the summer season!
