New favourite eye combo: Marcelle Lux Cream Shadows & L’Oreal Infallible Shadows

Image

I usually always have a problem with oily eyelids (strangely it’s the only part of my skin that has ever been oily), and find that my eyeshadow rarely lasts more than a few hours. It fades, creases, and wears off no matter what primer I use.
I like to combat this by always wearing a cream shadow as a base, and then adding a powder shadow over top.
While I absolutely love my Mac paint pots, I wanted to try something different. I’ve always been drawn towards shadow pencils, such as the Clinique Chubby Stick or the Lise Watier shadow pencils, because they’re so easy and convenient to use.

For this look, I tried the Marcelle Lux Cream Shadow sticks-and it was love at first swipe. Unlike some shadows in stick-form, it didn’t stick or clump on my eyelid. The texture is incredibly smooth and glided perfectly over my eyelid. Once it sets (after approximately 30 seconds) it stays in place.

The colour I used is “Ballerina” and is a gorgeous soft champagne/pink with light shimmer.

Over top, I added the L’Oreal Infallible Shadow in “Hourglass Beige”. It’s a beautiful light beige-toned colour with very fine shimmer. This has been one of my holy-grail shadows for well over a year now. I absolutely LOVE the Infallible shadows, they are so beautifully pigmented and they really do last all day. I will be doing a full review on these soon!

This photo was taken after wearing it for over 9 hours!

The products are gorgeous by themselves, and work even better as a team! If you have oily eyelids or struggle to keep your shadow lasting, definitely give these a try!

  1. Wow! I need to try this combo. My eyelids are pretty oily, and the shadow doesn’t last all day (even with primer!). I really the infallible shadows, I will have to try out “Hourglass Beige”!
